Congratulations to the Woodstock Academy boys basketball team who have won the CIAC Class L State Championship for the first time in school history. The Centaurs outscored Stamford’s Trinity Catholic Crusaders on Saturday at the Mohegan Sun Arena by a final score of 52-49. Through a combination of grit, determination, raw talent and pure heart the Woodstock Academy Centaurs were able to accomplish something no team before them has been able to do and, in so doing, have solidified their place in the history books. Way to go boys; it truly is a win for the ages.
